About this place Artim Hotel

Artim Hotel, a 52-room spot in Berlin, has been open to LGBTQ+ travelers since 2005. The place got a refresh in 2011, and the design is mostly functional, continental style.

You'll find it on Fuggerstraße, right in one of Berlin's oldest gay neighborhoods. That means you can walk to a bunch of gay bars, clubs, and other LGBTQ+ spots. The U-Bahn at Wittenbergplatz is only a few minutes away, so getting around the rest of the city is easy.

Berlin's gay scene has everything from quiet cocktail bars to big dance clubs. Being in this neighborhood puts you in the thick of it. The hotel itself is pretty simple and welcoming—the rooms are practical, not fancy, and the prices show it.

If you're in Berlin for the nightlife, or just want to be in one of Europe's most openly gay-friendly cities, this hotel puts you where the action is. It's near Motzstraße and the wider gay district, which makes it a solid choice if you want to be close to the community.

I paid a total of 270 Euros for the first two days. Two days later, when I went to reception to extend my stay in the same room for another two days (I only wanted to extend it to avoid the hassle of changing hotels, otherwise there was nothing I could do), I was informed that I would have to pay 270 Euros per day for the room. Meanwhile, the price for a two-day stay on Booking.com is 195 Euros. I can't pay with my card at the hotel due to a technical problem. But it's ridiculous that they expect me to pay more than double the price just because I want to pay in cash. Also, the hotel room has no amenities whatsoever. There isn't even a kettle in the room. Many hotels in the area have very limited facilities.

The hotel has a good location. The rooms were satisfactorily clean. The bed was comfortable. A safe was provided. The shower and toilet were clean, but not environmentally friendly as the soap and shower gel came in disposable packaging. A refrigerator and a fan were available. The windows and frames could use a cleaning. The damaged section of the wall could use some touch-up paint. The reception staff were friendly, and I was able to check in early. Breakfast was booked for an additional €18 and was satisfactory.
