Schoeneberg
This Austrian restaurant on Motzstraße, near Nollendorfplatz, is a relaxed spot in Berlin's established gay neighborhood. Opened in 2011, it's a solid choice for locals and visitors who want real Central European food. The place leans into tradition: schnitzel, blood sausage, and Tiroler Käsespätzle are all here, big portions of hearty stuff. They take wine seriously, which is a plus if you like a proper pairing with your meal. The vibe is casual, no fuss, fitting for the quieter end of Motzstraße, away from the loud bars. If you're out in Berlin's gay district and want more than just another drink, this is where you go for a good meal and conversation, no pretense.Features

Delicious food. Extremely friendly service. A lovely rustic atmosphere with a terrace. We'll definitely be back.
Simply delicious, light and flexible.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly. The interior is a bit dated, but it suits the location. We'll definitely be back.
We like it every time.
A restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. After a long time, we ate at "Eiserner Gustav" again. We received a friendly welcome. Our drinks arrived quickly. I absolutely cannot understand the good reviews regarding the food, unfortunately. But tastes are known to vary. We had Würzfleisch (small) as a starter, which had a very thin and crumbly texture. The main courses were similarly disappointing. The beef roulade was not filled with onions, bacon, and pickles as advertised on the menu, but with a minced meat filling. The gravy was far from being a proper gravy. The side dishes for the Kutscherschnitzel were equally disappointing: tasteless green beans with pale, fried bacon and creamed mushrooms that weren't creamy at all. The gravy looked exactly like the one for the beef roulade. It's a shame that our anticipation of good German food was so poorly fulfilled.
