Cologne Gay Pride — CSD 2026
About This Event
Cologne CSD (Christopher Street Day) is Germany’s biggest Pride party. Up to 1.5 million people come to the Rhine city each July.
The parade snakes through the medieval Old Town, past Cologne Cathedral, then finishes at a festival ground along the river.
Since 1979, the Cologne CSD has become an all-day spectacle. Thousands of floats, community groups, and marching bands fill the streets from morning until evening. After that, an outdoor concert and the legendary afterparties kick off in the gay-friendly Heumarkt and Rudolfplatz areas.
Cologne sits centrally in Germany. Its rail connections are good. The city feels warm and welcoming. That’s why so many LGBTQ+ visitors from across Europe come here. No other Pride event gets a backdrop like the Cathedral, rising right next to the Rhine.
