Very central location, good food and very friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay.

Old town within walking distance. Good location.

Convenient location. Close to the train station (20 minutes' walk) and also close to the city center (20 minutes' walk). We stayed in a two-room suite. The bed was clean. Towels were provided. Excellent, rich, and delicious breakfasts for every taste. Very welcoming and friendly staff.

The rooms are clean, but like many things in a youth hostel, they're showing their age. The beds are a bit uncomfortable and too short. Everything else is great and flawless. The dinner was delicious. Breakfast had a huge selection. The staff was very attentive and incredibly friendly. The location is simply ideal for a city trip. You can walk to the city center in 10-15 minutes.

It's a youth hostel, as expected. Very basic, but quite good value for the location. We used it as a stopover in Dresden. If you don't have high expectations, it's highly recommended.

The rooms themselves are nice, but the amenities left much to be desired – for example, there was no soap in the rooms. In addition, the beds were unfortunately extremely uncomfortable. A major point of criticism, however, is the room assignment, which we only learned upon arrival. Prior consultation or clarification was therefore completely impossible – even for the teachers, who were certainly very helpful. We were assigned fixed rooms, with only two four-bed rooms per class – the rest were divided into two-bed rooms. This is unfair to those who would have liked to share a larger room but weren't allowed to. Furthermore, this division into small groups completely eliminates the typical, enjoyable school trip atmosphere, which was a real shame and detracted from the fun – a youth hostel should be aware of this. The food itself was okay, but the service was extremely stressful. We only had a total of 30 minutes for meals for three classes. However, since the buffet was completely overcrowded, it felt like you had to stand in line for 10 to 15 minutes just to get something. This left hardly any time to eat in peace. The overall impression was therefore somewhat marred.

I would definitely visit again. The room was clean and adequately furnished. The bathroom is new and clean, with a shower gel dispenser. The breakfast buffet is always well-stocked, and there should be something for everyone. The train station and the city with its attractions are easily accessible on foot. The staff were mostly very friendly.
