Don’t stay here. The Manager is unethical and not professional. We left the passport in the room (so we sent an email the next day and they acknowledged they had the passport, they agreed to send it over to our new Hotel - I agreed to may for the Courier), but after many emails they never sent the Courier nor they replied my emails. So we had to go to our embassy for a new Passport. Also the Air Conditioner was not working. The bathroom door was broken. The receptionist wasn’t there when we arrived. Hotel is old and needs an urgent renewal (staff including ).

I was here one evening, I forgot a tracksuit in my room, and for almost a month the staff has been telling me they'd check it. I called several times, and initially they said they'd found it, but now they keep saying they'd let me know. This isn't professionalism. If you return the tracksuit, I'll change my review; otherwise, I won't.

The hotel is well located, but it's not very clean. The worst part is the service. I chose this hotel because of its location, the air conditioning, and because it looked quite decent in the photos. However, my stay has been terrible. I arrived on Friday, and when I went up to the rooms, none of them had air conditioning. One of the doors in one room wouldn't close from the inside, and the lamp didn't have a shade, so the light was too bright. I went down to reception to tell them about the problems, and the person there told me that the air conditioning had just broken down that day but that they would come to fix it on Saturday. That was a lie. When I left the hotel that same night to go for a walk because I couldn't stand the heat in the room, I came back, and another person at reception told me that they would only fix the system starting Monday because they don't work on weekends. I asked if they had a fan, and they said no. It's been terrible to sleep in the hotel; the heat is unbearable and makes it incredibly difficult. I suffer from migraines, and it's been even harder. No one has shown any willingness to fix anything. On Saturday, I returned to the hotel as late as possible because I can't stand being in the room. I asked if there was any news about the air conditioning repair, and the person there said they didn't know anything; no one had told them anything. Honestly, the customer service is terrible. Although the location is good, it's not worth all the discomfort. I've sent an email about the problem, and I sincerely want a refund so I can find another hotel. It's awful not wanting to go to the hotel because I can't be in the room. I want to rest, but I can't because of the heat.

The hotel has a great location, if you don't mind the busy Berlin street outside the window. You can reach the Römer (city hall) in 2 minutes and the Hauptwache (main guardhouse) in just under 10 minutes. There are excellent public transport connections. The staff is friendly, and breakfast offers everything you could need. Our room was in need of renovation, as the toilet seat was loose, the sink had a crack, and the shower drain cover was broken. However, we were told that renovations were planned.
