What reviewers say

Visitors frequently praise the hotel's extremely convenient airport and train station location, clean and modern rooms, and excellent breakfast with friendly staff. However, a common complaint is unreliable and non-complimentary Wi-Fi, and some found room temperatures difficult to control.

About this place Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel

Sheraton Frankfurt Airport sits directly over Terminal 1, a no‑frills base for travelers who need to be in and out fast. Connected to Terminal 1 by a glass‑enclosed footbridge, the hotel is officially gay‑friendly but doesn’t market itself to any specific community. Its size feels more corporate than boutique, which works if you’re looking for predictability. Inside, you’ll find two restaurants, two lounges and a fitness centre—all geared toward early departures, long layovers, or quick business trips. The rooms are functional, and the staff seem accustomed to a constant turnover of guests. You can check in without stepping outside, then hop to the long‑distance or regional train stations just a few minutes away. A 15‑minute S‑Bahn ride drops you in central Frankfurt, where most of the gay bars cluster around Alte Gasse and Schäfergasse.

By far the worst hotel I've stayed in in the last 10 years. The key card stopped working at 2 a.m. No one at the hotel speaks German. It's incredibly inconvenient. Absolutely awful. Nothing but problems; no one wants to help or solve them. The rooms are okay, but I can't recommend this hotel to anyone. It's a disgrace for WCD to choose this as an "arist hotel." Never again.

I booked a twin room with lounge access and breakfast through the official app to recover from my travel fatigue. Although it's directly connected to the airport, the connecting passage is complicated due to construction on the airport walkway. For some unknown reason, there was no food or beverage service in the lounge, and a sign indicated that only breakfast service was available in the Marriott lounge. Neither at check-in nor during booking was there any such explanation, and I was looking forward to using the cocktail hour, so this is terrible. What's the point of club access? I booked through the official app, but there was no such indication. I feel like I was cheated out of the high club access fee. There was no toothbrush or razor in the room, and one of the slippers didn't even have the Sheraton name on it. Even three-star hotels provide toothbrushes! 😩 This is the worst.
