What reviewers say

Visitors praise the snack bar with good selection and seating, and some find the saltwater beneficial. However, common complaints include the poor cleanliness of the toilets and issues with the water quality, such as seaweed and a dwindling water level, with some visitors finding it unpleasant or not worth the entry fee.

About this place Angersdorfer Teiche

Angersdorfer Teiche, an outdoor swimming area in Halle (Saale), has become the region's main gay beach.

You’ll find it at 9 Angersdorfer Teiche. This public spot is simple: a place for LGBTQ+ travelers to swim, sunbathe, and hang out, especially when the weather’s warm. It’s an easygoing alternative to a bar or club, giving you a chance to meet people outdoors.

The vibe is usually pretty open. But it's a public beach, so the crowd changes with the season and time of day, just like anywhere else.

If you're in Halle and want to skip the indoors, this is where you go to relax and tap into the local queer scene. Check opening times and facilities before you head out, as they can vary.

Zero stars for being here in 2022 Paid €3.60 entrance fee What did we do here for over 5 hours? Right, we had to kill time, because there's absolutely nothing to do here except go swimming in this disgusting body of water 😬😬☝️ and the toilets are yuck 🤢🤢🤮🤮😷 in some plastic building, and I don't recommend it, and swimming in the water is definitely out of the question.

The snack bar was good, especially the selection. Nice seating in both sun and shade. The water was okay. The clientele... well, let's just say it wasn't great. Unfortunately, the toilets were unacceptable. I understand that a public restroom like this can't be sterile, but it seems like this one is never thoroughly cleaned? At least once a day, the toilets, sinks, handles, etc., should be disinfected.
