About this place Cafe Uhrlaub

Cafe Uhrlaub is one of Hamburg's longest-established gay cafes, proudly flying rainbow flags outside its doors on Lange Reihe. Open from 8 am daily, it welcomes visitors throughout the day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, making it a reliable spot to refuel whether you're exploring the city or just looking for a familiar, affirming space. The venue serves traditional German cuisine in a relaxed, social atmosphere. The cafe has built a reputation as a genuine meeting place where you're likely to encounter both regulars and fellow travelers. This unpretentious approach to hospitality is what has kept it relevant and beloved for years in Hamburg's LGBTQ+ scene. When weather permits, the outdoor backyard terrace becomes a natural hub for lingering over meals and drinks during the warmer months. It's the kind of place where you can settle in for an hour or settle in for an afternoon without pressure. If you're seeking an authentic, long-standing gay-owned establishment with a welcoming vibe and solid German food, Cafe Uhrlaub offers exactly that.

Ugh! Stressed service, the Apreol was very watered down with mineral water, and the staff had a rough, unprofessional tone with each other. It used to be better, but unfortunately, I can no longer recommend it at all.

A cozy place to unwind. A lovely breakfast made our morning perfect. The service was very friendly. We'll gladly come back. Thank you, Jens, for your kind service.
