North Iceland Pride (Hinsegin Hatid)

North Iceland Pride (Hinsegin Hatid) is the Pride festival for northeastern Iceland, centred on Akureyri and organised by Hinsegin Nordurland together with Hinsegin Hatid i Hrisey, with the region's municipalities taking part. Held over five days in mid-June, it fills the northern summer's near-endless daylight with a Pride march, concerts, talks, drag and family events across Akureyri and nearby towns. The small island of Hrisey in Eyjafjordur holds its own Hrisey Pride (June 19-20) within the same week. Programme details are published at hinseginhatid.is.
