Street 66

I would advise against frequenting this place. Dublin is supposed to be a friendly place where everyone speaks to each other. One of my friends ended up in conversation with another couple who said they loved it but it wasn’t good enough for the blonde haired lady staff who decided we need to leave. Terrible attitude for a friendly outgoing city. Don’t go here!

This bar is absolutely not safe. I was repeatedly pushed by a drunk woman, and when I asked her to stop invading my personal space, the door supervisor, Darry, sided with her because he knew her. Instead of addressing the issue, he told me to leave. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior from security. I will never step foot in this place again.

I had a terrible experience with one of the security guys who asked my boyfriend and I to keep away from a table close to the entrance by which we stood ( as there was nowhere else to go), in such a rude way that I told him ' oh, that's nice'. He then asked me to repeat what I'd said before pretending I had said the F word, which I obviously denied, but he wouldn't let go of me and even suggested we 'discuss ' the matter outside. Back to our hotel I read through a number of Trip Advisor comments which actually reported a rude behaviour from the security guys, which somehow came as a relief but confirmed an unacceptable attitude I feel compelled to acknowledge. I'll never go back there again as there’s no reason I should be treated with such disrespect .

Great spot, very busy but really good bar staff keeping everything moving. Definitely recommend, great people, great music, lots of fun

The vibes are wonderful, the bar tender who made me a lavender martini was friendly and the drink was delicious! I love the wide age range of patrons here, it makes it feel really chill and welcoming

Great safe space for a cocktail. My partner and I stopped in for an espresso martini and it was super well made. The bar staff were really friendly too. I definitely recommend a stop here if you're looking for a drink in the temple bar area that's a tad less touristy.

After visiting a few other LGBT spots like Pantibar and Mother, which were receptive - my partner and I decided to try Street 66, which was closer to our hotel. Upon approach to the entrance, the security guy, who looked to be of Arab descent, but not that it matters, asked, “have you two been here before? And I answered “first time…” and also wondering why a security guy would even ask this. Then he rudely responded with, “you need a reservation” and his whole demeanor was unacceptable. I was low key irritated by the ordeal and didn’t respond and walked away. Never again will I attempt to go to this place. Places like this shouldn’t exist anymore!!!

I was very disappointed with Street66. We used to go to Street66 on special occasions, as the drag queen created an amazing atmosphere each time. This time we were at first disappointed when we received no reply from Street66 when we contacted them via Messenger on Facebook. We asked if it was possible to book a table as it was my birthday and I wished to spend a night there with my friends. We anyway visited, and even though we didn't like the songs the DJ was putting on (the songs were all remixed so much it was not possible to figure out what songs she was playing), we stayed and tried to enjoy the night. On two different occasions that night, my friends ordered my favorite song for my birthday. The DJ nodded her head in approval both times and didn't play the song anyway. Not coming back. We learned in a memo that at Panti Bar now there is a friendly drag queen with great playlists who actually does song wishes, and that's where we will go for upcoming birthdays

Terrible experience. The security guy act very disrespectful. If a place accepts having a person like this working in, so it's because they agree with his behavior. Humiliating experience on the entrance. It was the first time I went to this place to have some beers with friends but as I was about to enter, this security guard visibly upset, very rudely stopped me and asked me to go to the street because he needed to search me. Sorry but I don't need that. I refused, I didn't go in, I called my friends to leave and we went somewhere else. I won't be back.
