Just outside Santa Croce is Trattoria DeBenci. A restaurant "like it used to be," with courteous and helpful staff and delicious, high-quality dishes. After years of trying the Tuscan crostini, I tried the livers chopped with a knife without the use of modern appliances. I continued with pennette alla Chiantigiana, and again, the flavor of diced meat cooked in Chianti wine. And finally, cantuccini and Vin Santo. Everything was delicious! I sincerely recommend it. I'll definitely be back. Thank you, Trattoria DeBenci, for a wonderful lunch!

We came without a reservation, the food was very good and the service very professional; the person who served us was very pleasant and attentive. We'll be back.

A nice find for a small but interesting bar with a lovely interior. They serve delicious food: we had prosciutto and mozzarella with a side of bruschetta and saw some other couples with lovely pastas and steaks, too. Friendly service, and a nice spot for some people watching if sat outside.
