What reviewers say

Visitors frequently praise the Albergo Astro for its excellent central location, making it easy to access attractions and the train station, and for its friendly and helpful staff who make guests feel at home. However, some guests found the rooms and bathrooms to be small, and communication could be difficult as not all staff spoke English.

I would describe this little hotel as "rustic" and to be fair you get what you pay for. If you want a cheap hotel in a good location with aircon book this but don't be expecting luxury! Staff are friendly and helpful and its a 5 minute walk to a big train station and 10 minute walk to the main plaza with lots of shops, cafes etc. The decor of the room is very dated and some of the plumbing and electrics exposed and look a little dangerous. The shower is either cold or hot there is no in between and there was no room service for the 3 nights I stayed there so no clean towels, bins not emptied etc so things could be improved!

Hotel on the fifth floor of a magnificent historic building. Excellent location, convenient to the station and the city center. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and the breakfast was small but very pleasant. Thank you so much, and see you next time.

We stayed 2 nights and were absolutely satisfied. The room was clean, the staff were very friendly, and the location was central and convenient. Just be aware that the breakfast was poor. However, the value for money was unbeatable.

Excellent location and excellent reception service. But the rooms are completely different from what was described. They were supposed to have a balcony, minibar, air conditioning, breakfast (not included but available), and I could go on, but in reality there wasn't even a power outlet outside the bathroom. The website gave a 404 error, so you have to rely solely on Booking.com, and the information there was incorrect.
