would not recommend. I was in a mixed dorm with 2 toilets and the lock was broken on one when I arrived and then the other lock broke the next day so I did not have safe toilet for most of my stay and the staff wouldn't move me and no one came to fix it. I already felt uncomfortable in my dorm as l was the only woman most of the time and the men were not wearing clothing sometimes, I definitely did not feel comfortable showering when anyone could walk in. Was very expensive for what you get. The atmosphere, at the busiest time of the year, was not social whatsoever. Common space had no one in it ever and there are no activities organized by the hostel. And lastly, luggage storage price is insane; 20€ for 6 hours after checkout is crazy. Do yourself a favour and download the "Bounce" luggage storage app and go next door for 5€ for the whole day

👎 I must say couple things for travellers. 1. The neighbourhood is not good and safe. We’ve wanted to discover Rome at nights, therefore we’ve always taken a taxi to go back to Hotel. 2. The room was smaller compared to picture as always. 3. Beds are not as comfortable as I expect it. I am not an allergic person but I felt itchiness some nights which led me to suspect bed bugs. 4. There is no lock on the door, be aware of that. 5. There were yelling and noises from neighbourhood at night even you kept your window as closed. 6. Bring your personal items, don’t trust the power of hairdryer in the room.

Summary: Our stay far exceeded our expectations. With its cleanliness, order, and ease of access, Generator Rome has definitely become a benchmark for our future travels. (5/5) Experience: We opted for a private room and didn't encounter any hygiene issues. Both our room and bathroom were quite large and spacious. Having enough power outlets is an important detail these days, and they've thought of that well. The facility generally operates very systematically; access to rooms and electricity use are via card. Although we occasionally had trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi network, we generally used it without any problems. All the staff speak excellent English and have very good communication skills. They are friendly. I might have a small criticism for the private rooms; adding a mini-fridge and increasing the number of mirrors would significantly improve comfort. Location and Surroundings: The hostel is located a 10-15 minute walk from Termini train station. We had read reviews saying the location was unsafe, but we didn't experience any problems or feelings of insecurity (of course, the fact that we weren't on the streets very late at night might have contributed to this). Walking to the tourist attractions is a bit far, but thanks to the MA metro line just one street away, you can easily get anywhere in the city. Recommendation: If you're looking for a central, clean, and well-organized place in Rome, I definitely recommend it. Using the nearby metro line makes getting to tourist spots much easier.

I slept in a dormitory, and everything was clean enough, and the bathroom was spotless, which is the most important thing. Furthermore, the staff were friendly and helpful. Sheann helped me find my way around in the morning. A big thank you to her!

I had an amazing stay at Generator Rome during my trip to Rome. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay, which made the whole experience even better. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and I especially appreciated the storage system — it was practical and made staying in a shared space much easier. The common areas were also a highlight; they were beautifully designed, spacious, and created a really nice atmosphere to relax or meet other travellers. Overall, the hostel had great vibes, excellent facilities, and made our trip so much more enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
