Hotel San Giorgio Venice
Many visitors praise the friendly and dedicated staff, describing them as a second family, and enjoy the delicious food and clean rooms. However, some guests complain about the aging hotel, particularly the breakfast quality and variety, and a few experienced issues with reception service and parking.

When you arrive, if there's no one at reception, call the numbers displayed. They'll give you all the instructions. Single room is a bit dated but clean with nice furnishings. Private bathroom. The common areas are clean. There's no elevator, but the stairs aren't steep. A safe and mini-fridge are provided in the room.
If you want to ruin your Venice experience, this is the hotel for you. We didn't have towels. The hotel apparently hadn't paid for their laundry, and all the hotel towels were in sacks at the entrance. They didn't care about leaving ALL the rooms without towels. The air conditioning didn't work. We paid for breakfast in the rate, and the person who was supposed to prepare it showed up an hour late on our departure day. We couldn't have breakfast there, and they didn't refund anything, not even the cost of breakfast on our last day. It's a shame that hotels like this exist in Venice. They ruin the tourist experience.
There's no reception desk, but you can call and they'll give you an access code. They can't store your luggage in a secure area, there's no elevator, the air conditioning didn't work properly and they had a problem, and we didn't have towels for two days. It's cheap and well-located, but I wouldn't recommend it.
Absolutely avoid! My daughter and I spent one night at this hotel (May 21). Aside from the window handle that was in danger of falling off, the toilet seat missing, etc., the biggest problem was the towels!! We couldn't wash ourselves because we couldn't get towels of any size! There are three phone numbers to call if you need them, but unfortunately they're for other hotels in Rome. A disgrace! I called back three times because they told me they were working hard to get them to us and to wait!! Change jobs, it's better.
Hotel in Venice with a fantastic location. The room was clean, unfortunately it does not seem to be staffed normally. Also, our shower was broken. It was stuck on the shower wand and the tap to change it to the shower head was missing. This would be fine but the holder for the wand was also broken meaning that it could not be placed above chest height without holding it. The heating also didnt work in the room and there were only 2 blankets (one single sized blanket and one single sized duvet without a cover.) For our queen bed. Because we didnt see any staff after our check in we could not get anything rectified. I would not stay again and recommend you look elsewhere.
The room is prehistoric. The toilet is decent, nothing to write home about.
