About this place Café Montmartre

Café Montmartre is an Amsterdam gay bar that has been running since 1983. It's known for Dutch sing-along nights, where the crowd sings along to Dutch pop and schlager hits. For decades it was on Halvemaansteeg, but our current listing places it at Reguliersdwarsstraat 48, on the city's main gay street. The crowd is mostly Dutch and enjoys belting out the words. It is open Wednesday to Sunday from 5pm, until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays, and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Weekends are packed and loud. Come earlier in the week if you want room to talk.

Amazing bar! Came here on a Thursday and had a very good time meeting the locals and being welcomed in! Very nice to see actual Dutch in this spot rather than all tourist. No food served here, but came back two other times within my trip I enjoyed it so much.
