Super sweet staff, we got a better room than we had booked, were able to check in earlier, and spontaneously received a gift when we told them we had just gotten married, super sweet!

We had a good stay at Hotel Miss Blanche. The hotel kindly offered us an upgrade, which we accepted. The upgraded apartment was in a neighbouring building and turned out to be a spacious attic-style apartment, almost like an Airbnb, with a full kitchen including a stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. The apartment also had its own terrace with a table and chairs, plus a beautiful view over the canal. The location is very nice and convenient. One thing to be aware of: the building has very steep stairs, which are good physical exercise, but could be a real challenge for older guests or anyone with mobility issues, especially going up to the second floor. The main downside was noise. The area is quite noisy, and it seems the hotel is aware of this, as earplugs were thoughtfully provided on the bedside tables. Breakfast was served in a separate restaurant, Café de Sigaar, located between the hotel and our building. The atmosphere was nice, but the breakfast selection was very limited, with no hot food. Overall, a pleasant place with character, a great apartment and a lovely view, but the stairs, noise and basic breakfast are worth considering.
