Scandic Nidelven

The hotel is quite run-down. In the corners, it was clear that the hotel could use better maintenance. It wasn't as clean as we're used to from other hotels.

I was disappointed in this hotel considering the price. The room was small, the window didn’t open properly, there was a lack of power plugs, no free parking, no outdoor patio, despite being on the water.

Fantastic breakfast

Was denied alcohol at a bachelor party because 1 person 9 was a little too drunk. Everyone else is barely drunk and not allowed to buy alcohol. Very bad experience. They obviously saw that they had made a mistake, but stood their ground.

Stayed at Scandic Nidelven in April, and unfortunately it wasn't a stay to brag about. Had a really nice experience right up until I was about to check out. When I was cleaning out my clothes from the closet, there was a dead and dried-up mouse on the floor. I saw that there was something gray on the floor but thought it was dust/a dormitory rabbit. When I went down to the lobby and showed the picture I took of the room, there was zero help. I got a response of "Oh, it was new" followed by "We'll fix it". This turned out that they meant that they were going to clean the room for the next customer and no form of compensation or the like, when we checked out an hour later. It wasn't a comfortable feeling to think that you had a dead mouse lying in your room when you were sleeping and later got sick. (I don't know if this was caused by the stay, but the coincidences are interesting.) I would have liked to have received better feedback when reporting a significant problem. I hope employees or someone at Scandic get this message.
