Guests frequently praise the Britannia Hotel for its excellent breakfast, kind and helpful staff, and the cozy, majestic atmosphere of its Palmehaven restaurant. About this place Britannia Hotel

Britannia Hotel is Trondheim's grand old hotel at Dronningens gate 5, in the middle of Midtbyen, reopened in 2019 after a full renovation. It is a mainstream luxury hotel, not an LGBTQ+ venue. The building holds several restaurants and bars, including the Palmehaven breakfast hall under a glass roof, plus a spa. Google reviews average 4.7 from about 2,100 guests, the highest of the big Trondheim hotels. Torvet, Nidaros Cathedral and the shopping streets are a few minutes on foot. Expect top-end Norwegian prices.

Always pleasant at Britannia, you always get the same regular table in the Britannia bar, incredibly cozy!

One of my all-time top 5 hotel experiences! I received an upgrade to a truly beautiful and wonderfully quiet suite! Everything was spotlessly clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The preset buttons in the elevators are a brilliant idea—why isn't that standard practice everywhere? The breakfast was fantastic, featuring what was probably the best bread I've ever eaten!

The hotel has a serious lack of integrity. Extra caution is needed during check-in and check-out. We have never encountered such a situation in five-star hotels in Europe.
