What reviewers say

Visitors consistently praise Olive Hostel for its cozy, homely atmosphere, friendly and dedicated staff, and clean shared facilities, with the rooftop terrace being a highlight. Some guests found the high ratings a bit overrated and noted that rooms may have fans instead of air conditioning.

The private room was excellent. Clean rooms and shared bathroom. Nice large roof terrace. Very friendly and sociable staff! The shared bedrooms were a bit too small for me; the bunk beds are not of very good quality, causing them to move a lot when you turn over, and they have old mattresses that are too hard. Not ideal if you are not a good sleeper.

The bar is right next door. If you get a room facing the street, you're in trouble! The windows are drafty and have no soundproofing. Music, screams, chatting, singing, and engine noises... it's non-stop... (The video was filmed at 00:35)

Pros- great location, staff is nice and helpful, people are great. I immediately felt at home here and enjoyed the barbecue they had on my first night. The layout of the hostel is nice with plenty of places to hang out. Cons- bathroom was dirty…the night I got there one of the tubs was crawling with bugs. In one of the other bathrooms, the shower drain was so clogged that my feet were completely submerged within just a few minutes🤢 The locker is small and outside in the hallway. It was ok for my purposes but not totally ideal. It was hard to sleep here at least one of the nights because the staff and some of the guests were out on the back porch singing till after midnight. The door was open so that also made the hallways smell of smoke. Overall I would stay here again but it was not my favorite hostel of the trip.

A very nice hostel; we stayed in a private double room in the annex. Centrally located but on a quiet street, with a beautiful rooftop terrace – highly recommended.
