Secret Patio Lisbon

This ain't a 4star hotel! It is a 2star motel with some amenities and great location. Perfect for cheap-and-young-vibes but don't expect much, also no breakfast but plenty of fantastic cafes nearby so not a problem.

Great short term accommodation, clean rooms and bunk beds, friendly helpful staff, with great immediate access to Lisbon. Value for money.

Please avoid. They should not be in business. There was no hot water, doors had no locks on the inside, no TV, no phones, no hot water, no soap. Really bad staff who made up stuff to avoid accepting there will be not hot water at all. Never coming back. In response to their response, I would like to add that them talking about fire is the first I'm hearing of it. That will the 3rd excuse they would give. Nothing were ever communicated and forget anything remotely related to customer service. They really should not be doing business until they are fully renovated. They are technically robbing their customers by charging us hotel prices for staying in what is a construction site.

It was advertised as a hostel, but it's not and this is the main issue (not what I paid for). It disappeared from Hostelworld too. Facilities like social spaces, kitchen, terrace, bar, breakfast, coworking etc are now closed. No events. Not even a coffee machine. Parts of the structure (which was beautiful) look abandoned too. The feeling is that they are trying to squeeze out money before closing the business. A bit spectral to be honest... The room was clean-ish and the lady at the reception was very kind and professional - but she was the only person I saw from the staff. The location is very gentrified, not necessarily bad, but be aware everything is extremely pricey and touristic. the metro is 10/15' by walk

The internet was not strong enough for my work video calls or streaming & staff couldn't offer me any help. The rooftop is closed and loud construction. 2 of the 3 bathrooms are out of order on first floor and the one hair dryer doesn't work. Mold in bathroom. The women's bathroom in the main area sink leaks a ton and the floor is always covered with water. Almost daily fire alarms go off. I was really excited about my stay but it was not a good experience. Be sure to ask if the rooftop is open before you book and don't stay if you need quality internet.

Bad. We supposedly paid for a room with a private bathroom, but when we arrived, we found a shared bathroom. On top of that, the phone charging outlets are practically right outside the door, so if you wanted to charge your phone and use it for a bit, you had to stand right there. There wasn't even a table, so we were forced to fill the room with crumbs. There was no air conditioning, not even a simple fan—I've never seen that, not even in the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. There was no television either, which I didn't mind because I wasn't going to use it anyway, but it still surprised me because I've never seen a hotel without one. The curtains didn't block the sun well, forcing me to wake up very early. The luggage storage was just a room with the other guests' bags. So, if someone wanted to steal from you, they would, because there were no signs or anything. In short, if you come to Lisbon, save up a bit more and get a decent hotel, not this one, which is also incredibly far from everything. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that most of the employees speak Spanish, which is appreciated.

First off it took until my last day for a service person to fix our shower drain as it filled like a bathtub during the first two days. Now as I am writing this review I get to hear a faulty sensor in the building go off every minute at 1:00am in the morning. I went downstairs to find out what is wrong and the night person told me that the sensor was faulty and he called someone who would be here to hopefully fix it in another hour. While I understand that in the middle of the night there are less people to fix issues like this. There should be a better override system in place or a silence feature. It makes the overnight persons job way harder sure, but interrupting sleep isn't acceptable. Not pleased with this stay. One more added bit of annoyance is there was suppose to be a rooftop bar open while we had our stay. No where on the booking did it say it was under construction as we found out on our arrival. Was told it's under construction until sept 2026 so if that was a reason to stay here like my group. Please verify with the staff here before choosing this hostel.

We paid for €150 a night for a hotel room and we got a rundown down (massive crack on the wall of the bathroom, badly painted), with minimal furniture (one bedside table, one hanguer, thats all), smell of cleaning products and bad sound insolation, with sound of rolling suitcases waking you up in the morning. Had we paid €60 a night I could live with it, but having paid premium price it it didnt feel right. Avoid.

If you expect a fun and social hostel, this is not the place. The bar was not open and there was no yoga studio like the pictures said - and it hasn’t been open for a while. The first night our window couldn’t close, and they overbooked our private room - so someone came into our room in the middle of the night. The staff was very friendly and came to apologise and gave us a new room the next day. But I wouldn’t stay here again.

I stayed in a 4-bed shared room for a few days in May 2025. The rooms are clean, well-equipped, and spacious. The hostel has a slightly artsy, urban vibe with lots of art and plants – I really liked it. The staff is friendly and helpful. I enjoyed chilling by the pool or having a latte on the rooftop terrace; it's easy to strike up a conversation with other guests. There are also plenty of indoor and outdoor areas for relaxing and working. The communal kitchen with its large refrigerator was also very convenient. :) It was great. 👌🏼

The location is very,very excellent. Close to everything. The pool was great. I felt comfortable all the time. Every day my room was cleaned. No complaints at all.
