Terrible service. When we checked in we didn't get any information. In the middle of day 1 we were told by a bartender that we should have wristbands for all inclusive. The food was bad, never tried dinner as breakfast and lunch were not included. At lunch you had to order drinks at the table, but even though the restaurant was practically empty you weren't allowed to drink until you had finished eating. At meals you had to give your room number, except for one lady, she demanded that you bring your hotel card because she was clearly too lazy to enter the room number manually. And the hotel card couldn't be near the mobile phone, I haven't counted how many times we got up to the 9th floor in the smallest and slowest elevator ever and then had to take it back down to activate the card... Unfortunately not a place to recommend except for the location. Too bad, because the location was perfect. Everything else was crap
The first night, at 2 a.m., the receptionist came up to our room to tell us that smoking wasn't allowed on the balcony because the smoke might bother other guests. There are ashtrays everywhere by the pool, and you can smoke even next to children. The same goes for the bar. The food is decent. The elevators are very slow, noisy, and always occupied. There's never a taxi available every day because the hotel is quite far out of town.
You can't knock this hotel really. It's got a great location, we also came here last year and we see now that the recent redevelopments have certainly improved it. The lifts are slightly better this year but they are still not amazing. Food is good. Good variety and reasonable quality. What improved the most is the entertainment. I don't think i ever seen it this good. Frank and his team are full of energy, happy and are giving that extra mile, we havent seen it like this the other years. They did an amazing show for San Guan, a Spanish night, what a party it was, we laughed so much, my friend won a cocktail 😎 one thing I need to say, we love a night of fun where the public joins in, Frank was the absolute best, but participation acts everyday gets a bit of the same, this year the hotel doesnt invest in shows, like a motown group or flamingo act. We went to the puente real hotel two nights, which is right next to it, to see a live act and a flamingo, so at the end it was perfect. The staff are probably the biggest plus they are all friendly and helpful especially the poolbar guys and Frank and team who made our holiday!
Thank you so much for the warm welcome. (not only the weather) Special thanks to the entertainment and the barkeepers at the pool. I saw Frank and Edgar with such a powerful smile and love for their job. Same goes to Ismael and Raúl. I hope to be back soon. ¡Muchas gracias!
Whoever booked the room paid for a large double room and I got a small one. I didn't know what type of room I paid for. When I found out, I went downstairs to the reception to see why I didn't get what I paid for. They apologized and gave me a room that was bigger. But the door had already been forced by someone and it hadn't been repaired. The trash can was a trash can taken from the garbage and I'm not exaggerating. The old mirror with the reflective foil on the back peeled off at the bottom. In the first room in the shower, the tiles were peeling off. You're speechless at such an exorbitantly priced hotel for what it offers for this money. Avoid this hotel completely.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The facilities were excellent, the food was great, and the cleanliness was superb. Without a doubt, the best part was the entertainment; Carla and Edgar are true professionals, and we wish them all the best.
