The Secret Garden in Gamla Stan is one of Stockholm’s few all-day gay venues, transforming from a restaurant at dinner to a bar and nightclub late into the night.
You’ll find it in the middle of Gamla Stan, the city’s Old Town, where narrow streets and medieval buildings make for good wandering before things get going. By day, it’s a restaurant, serving meals in a casual setting. They don’t try to be anything else.
But when evening rolls around, the place shifts gears. The Secret Garden morphs into a bar, then a nightclub. It’s a good setup if you want to eat and then stick around, avoiding the trek to another spot. Stockholm's gay scene is fairly spread out, but this one's easy to get to, right in the historic center.
It’s a social spot, good for meeting people, whether you’re alone or with friends. The fact that you can eat, drink, and dance without leaving the building makes it convenient. You can kick off your evening quietly or jump straight into the party.

We stopped in for a couple beers. The bartender was welcoming and friendly. It was a slow Monday night but had a few partrons and good music. We would definitely return.
You don’t have to be gay to go to a gay bar!! Amazing venue, great food and as you would fabulous service and decor If you are in Gamla Stan and like a beer and a proper people watch, definitely put this place on your list!
Cozy
It's not the best place to go, plus it's not very clean.
