Clean and well run hostel. Helpful staff. Warm and bright communal areas to eat and relax in. Fully equipped kitchen for coming your own food. Hostel provides free rice or pasta and free cereal and milk in the morning. These were lovely surprises and a welcome offer. Highly recommend.

A friendly, well run, thought through, clean place to stay. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend this place if you are visiting Bern.

Just an awful experience, could never check in, had to sleep in the street.

Can I imagine the room? No. Sleep is miserable, and noise fills the night until dawn. I found little food choice, with uncooked salads as the main course. Therefore, I won't be returning, but I'll reserve the right to do so next time!

Perfect location, very clean, friendly staff. Beds and washrooms are basic but perfectly serviceable. Recommended.

This is a great hostel. Very clean - probably the cleanest I have stayed in. It was clear from how hard the staff worked the effort that goes into keeping the facilities clean (cleaning everything down late at night before they went home). The rooms are really comfortable. The lockers are a good size (none of the deliberately small lockers to make you buy more storage you see in some places). The beds are really comfortable, something that can’t be said about every hostel. Views are fantastic. I think the value is excellent. Yes it is Switzerland. However, you get included breakfast and free pasta. You are also getting local transport included through the Bern area card. When you factor in the two meals you are saving on (and if you eat enough at breakfast lunch too), plus transport the price is competitive with hostels in other countries that don’t offer this. Would highly recommend. Paula was great on her first shift :).
