We meet fortnightly for coffee and a no-alco beer. Always excellent.

This hotel is such a gem 💎 it’s so stylish and quintessentially British pub style, but very cool too. The food was excellent and breakfast was great! The rooms were stunning and the mini bar was stocked great. Super clean and staff were all very friendly and helpful.

AstroTurf garden but pleasant nonetheless. Nice spaces inside. On the pricey side.

Only stayed for 1 night, but I must say, it felt really special. A beautifully updated village pub. The bar and beer garden are really nice. Not that keen on the QR code ordering thing when outside. Actually prefer just to go to the bar and order. Menu was solid and Food was amazing.🤩 had the Ceasar salad and I’d definitely rate it in my top 10. Freshly grilled chicken breast, crispy romaine lettuce, plenty of Parmigiana and croutons and great to see a couple of boiled eggs. Annoyingly I didn’t take a picture before I wolfed it down, sorry. But would definitely order that again. That was then followed by the chocolate brownie and again, spot on. Would have liked to have indulged in the Eton mess as well but I’ll maybe leave that for a next visit. Full English Breakfast was also great. To the rooms and service. Service was great, all the staff were really nice as you’d hope in a classy pub like this. Friendly and quick to serve at the bar. Very good. Rooms… very impressive. Really nicely laid out. Beautiful decoration, large double bed, sofa, tv, and a very well stocked mini bar (almost too well stocked 😉!) Bathroom superbly clean and recently refurbed by the looks of things, although a little small for my liking, but perfectly suitable for a weekend stay. Soaps and shampoos which is always nice. Nice and quiet as well. I’d put the rooms in the category of boutique and very romantic/luxurious for a couples stay. Location wise!!! Well, situated for the coast and South Downs walks etc. Village wise absolutely nothing there, so it’s the pub basically, which isn’t such a bad thing. Would I stay again, Yes.

Great place to stay in Ditchling. The room was lovely and quite spacious. We were walking the South Downs Way with our dog and he was well catered for, with a bed provided and a box of treats. The food in the restaurant was amazing and the dog was allowed in there too. The staff were brilliant, both in the restaurant in the evening and at breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.

Lovely pub, great service, excellent location. The Sunday night dinner, bed and breakfast deal is excellent. Only criticism: would have liked a bath mat!
