Premier Inn Cardiff City Centre

Great hotel, the usual premier inn service, breakfast terrific. Location is superb.

My partner and I spent two nights in Cardiff and chose this Premier Inn location. Upon arrival, check in hadn't opened. But we were greated by a very friendly youn lady named Ebily, sounds like Emily. Who advised automatic check in starts at 3pm. We could check in early for 15 pounds, we opted for a round of drinks and to wait. Meanwhile Ebily and her manager were busy cleaning and clearing the lounge area. I noticed one of the two lifts were out of action for maintenance and as a retiree I requested a lower floor room which Ebily promptly assigned. Thank you! This hotel is older but the rooms are comfortable, nice bed linens, good mattress and a decent bathroom. We had breakfast elsewhere but overall the hotel was clean and very nice staff. Well trained, well done! We especially liked the guest supplies area where you help yourself to an iron/board, additional pillows and cover, tea supplies. My only minor issue is the bathrooms need a toilet brush. Minor issues, but overall despite this being an older hotel, the stay was great!

I stayed for one night and promised my self never to go back 1st on arrival you can no longer leave suitcases the lockers they supply are to small maybe a bag fits in there but thats it then you have to pay on the app to use them. Also i wanted to check in early i didnt have the choice at the time when i booked last year so i asked the women who clearly couldn't understand english if i was able to pay the extra to check in. She was not at all helpful but then she did allow me to pay the extra. Also i get to the room only one towel between two People isnt enough so with my carer had to go and get another one. Also i haven't visited this hotel for a couple of years the rooms are covered in mold in places so are the curtains. Also bath tubs have gotten higher if your short you cant get init if you want a shower also still no grab rails in the bathroom yes its not a disabled friendly room i couldn't get a disabled room. Also still no mini fridges in the room if you need a cup of tea and want fresh milk you still can't. The air con doesnt work it warms instead of cools. Breakfast unfortunately was horrible i will not eat it again. Also chairs supplied in rooms are dangerous if you need to sit there and do work you couldn't reach your laptop. Also tvs why are the set on so loud when you put them on. This has gone to very expensive cheap hotel.

Good location for central Cardiff but rooms were tired, very hot despite staff saying they had overridden air conditioning it made no difference. Staff not particularly friendly. Decided not to eat there. Have stayed in many premier inn and this was not the usual standard.

Awful stay Moved rooms twice No food no hot water and no room ac what a joke of a place avoid here at all costs Staff where nice but they can see the place if falling apart

Great location. Bar is 24hrs which is good esp when youve seen a show and just need a .......... lime n soda 🤣

Great place to stay if your going to the arena and a short walk from the city centre Rooms are good and clean Staff helpful
