Suffolk Pride
About This Event
Suffolk Pride is the volunteer-run Pride group for the county, based in Ipswich, and it no longer stages a single big Pride day. After park and waterfront events (Christchurch Park in 2009 and 2012, the waterfront in 2014, 2019 and 2022), the organizers dropped the one-day format because of the cost and the year-round fundraising it demanded, and switched to a month-long fringe festival across Suffolk.
The festival opens with Pride Blooms on the Cornhill: a free vigil with flowers and speeches, followed by a march through town. After that, venues in Ipswich, Felixstowe, Bury St Edmunds, Woodbridge, Aldeburgh and other towns run their own events through June, mostly free.
The 2026 festival ran from 31 May to 28 June. The 2027 program hadn't been announced when we checked.
