A beautiful hotel, wonderful staff xx

Clean hotel, very pretty decor and an Art Deco theme from the 1900s! The staff were very attentive; I will definitely return.

Lovely room and loved the wet room shower! It’s great for accessibility and the sound proofing did a reasonably good job with noise suppression but I feel some others need to understand that it’s in the city centre so it’s going to be loud 🤷🏻‍♀️. I can see the tightness in parking but the £10 for hotel guests was nice until midnight the day after so we can go wonder around the city before leaving. Only thing, we didn’t notice the back entrance to the hotel through the carpark until we were leaving, maybe a sign to the hotel?

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is an oasis of calm in the city centre. The dinner in the Great Hall was exceptional.

Probably the worst room I have had in a 4 star hotel. Very hot and small. No bedside cabinet or table next to the bed and tv cant be seen from the bed. Room overlooking a derelict building with smashed windows. Lots of noise can be heard from corridors and other rooms.

The overall hotel experience was very enjoyable and nice. The team at the hotel was very welcoming, kind and friendly. A special mention has to be made for Nijo. He went above and beyond to make the experience more memorable and special. I would definitely stay here again, just based on the customer service alone. The hotel itself is also well positioned and the room was spacious and comfortable.

Had a great experience! Beautiful stately hotel, newly refurbished. Very conveniently located. Best of all were the front desk staff on the dates we stayed- Nijo, Leah, and Tyler! Thank you especially to Nijo for going above and beyond to resolve a booking issue!

Reception staff were amazingly helpful, polite and professional. Rooms to a good standard and comfortable, food was lovely with locally sourced ingredients. Shame some of the other areas of the hotel were not as updated as the reception area and rooms. But would recommend to stay, and good location from the train station.
