Wonderful production of Tom Stoppard's Arcadia. It is a rare play situated firmly in the realm of ideas. Suffused with Stoppard's warm humour and glowing performances from an amazing cast, debating everything from garden design to algorithms, chaos theory and the second law of thermodynamics versus NewtonIan physics, it is an utterly pleasurable and memorable experience. From the first moment when the precocious Thomasina (it struck me halfway through that Thomasina is modelled after Ada Lovelace) asks Septimus about the meaning of carnal embrace to the very final dance, I found this edge-of-the-seat stuff, where I am always eagerly anticipating the next piece of dialogue. If you like delving into ideas, there is nothing even remotely comparable on London stage right now.

A lovely theatre, a first time visiting today to see Arcadia. A brilliant show and for a first solo theatre visit, the staff were so welcoming and positive it was a truly wonderful experience!
