About this place New Union Hotel

The New Union is a traditional gay pub on Princess Street, where it meets Canal Street at the edge of Manchester's Gay Village, and it also lets out rooms upstairs. It is one of the Village's oldest venues: a working pub with banquette seating, cheap drinks, karaoke and drag on selected nights. The crowd mixes students, older regulars and visitors. It opens at noon daily and closes at 02:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Prices are in the lowest tier. Expect it to be packed and loud over the Manchester Pride bank holiday weekend. The rest of the year it is a local's pub, and a convenient first stop before the bigger Village clubs.
