I would have given zero stars if possible. Family members travelling from a distance, had booked a room by telephone months ago, for a family get together in Timperley at the beginning of December. On arrival there at 5.30pm on the date, they were told “sorry we have bad news for you”. Someone had booked on line earlier that day and had been given their room. The lady on reception eventually found a room for them at a different b&b in Sale (more expensive) and gave them cash to make up the difference. Thank goodness they found this out at 5.30pm and didn’t leave it until later that night to check in. Disgraceful that this was such a shambolic booking system. Eskdale had made minimal efforts to contact them and weren’t particularly apologetic. Never again - lesson learned.

For a budget price hotel, I had no complaints whatsoever. The room was clean. The bed was excellent with decent cotton linen. It's a great location for the airport or anywhere around south & central Manchester. Plenty of parking space. Breakfast as an extra was perfectly good as well. If you're someone who wants fancy luxury and a swanky modern TV then maybe it's not for you, but for an overnight stay in Manchester which has gotten ridiculously expensive, it's a good affordable option.
