Gambaro Hotel Brisbane

The location is pretty good, very close to bars, restaurants, shops and public transport and very convenient all round. The rooms are very clean and high tech. Big TV with Foxtel, Chromecast and a great shower too. The air conditioning is not great, either. It kept reseting itself to 21° and made it a bit too warm to sleep comfortably. The check in process wasn't made easy though. I was checking in after hours and checked ahead of time to make sure they have 24 hour check in. I had to wait out the front for 10 or so minutes as the desk was unmanned when I arrived. The man checking me in refused to accept cash or paywave on my phone for the incidentals payment, he was very insistent that I give him my card. I hope he wasn't trying to skim credit card information, I've replaced my card anyway. When I asked him where I could get something to eat he was not helpful, I asked for directions to the nearest convenience shop and he only said "it's 4km away" without any further context and refused to answer questions about the kebab shop over the road. The breakfast kitchen closes before check out time, so can't even get a bite to eat on the way out, which was disappointing. The steak was overcooked and chips were quite bland, although the chicken wings were delicious and great value.

It's been an wonderful experience at The Beetson. The rooms are spacious, well furnished and stylish (and the tv is massive). The bathrooms are large and tidy. The staff have been incredible, very quick to assist with my questions and whims. I have a view of Suncorp Stadium, a big terrace and the hotel is close enough to the city to be convenient but far enough away to avoid the hubbub.

Comfy rooms and only a few minutes walk to the city

I was a bit concerned reading other reviews but I certainly did not excperience the same problems that other people did. The location is p4obably not the best but its a fine hotel

The staff is amazing & it's right across the street from several bars/restaurants & only a 3 minute walk to Suncorp Stadium...

The staffs are friendly, room is neat. However, it is not a hotel that meets 5-star rating, eg: the amenities provided does not live up to 5-star rating, no disposable slippers, no tooth brush..., the carpet looks old, the lobby smells.

The service and food is second to none. Great place for a meal for any occasion. We had the steak, cooked to perfection.
