L'Hôtel sur Pownal

Really good place to stay close to downtown Charlottetown. Clean room, a little bit small, but was perfect for what I needed. They accept your dog for 25$, no problem there. A loud party was happening in another room and they immediately took care of it. Breakfast included as well. Will return.

Don't stay here! Guests were partying all night and the front desk did absolutely nothing! The room smelled terrible and I heard every noise. I asked for a quiet room and was put in the noisiest room. 155 for a terrible sleep and terrible service. Avoid!

Though it was a few years back when we stayed at the Pownal, I came across a few pictures from our trip recently. It brought back the most wonderful memories in downtown Charlettown. The hotel had the most comfortable and luxurious vibe. We loved the location, the room, the cleanliness of the space, breakfast - everything was on point for our stay at the Pownal!

We have stayed here many times but very disappointing visit this time. The staff were great! Perfect location. The breakfast was disgusting - weak coffee, only 1 boiled egg, 2 pieces of white bread for toast and no orange juice. The room is OLD - the sheer window curtain was completely ripped to shreds in the left side, there was salt/rocks all over the floor. There were wrappers from the previous guest on the floor and the caulking mess in the rooms - I could have done better. Probably our last trip here.

A fantastic stay! Near the heart of Downtown Charlottetown, a quick walk to anything you want to see/do in the city, as well as plenty of fine eateries. The Staff are knowledgeable about the area and can help guide you to what you're looking for. They're also incredibly helpful to ensure you have a great stay. Quiet, clean, and dog friendly, we will absolutely be staying here again when we come back to the Island.

Superbe experience at this hotel. Nicely situated. Pleasant staff. Rooms are clean and bed is comfy. Very decently priced also (off season). Would recommend 😇

Kind people at the reception. Beautiful, clean room. Yummy complimentary breakfast and drink for the evening. Was given a better toothbrush and bigger toothpaste unlike the typical ones. Few requests were honored realtime. Best part is the dining area, felt like I was at home while utilizing complete available stuff. Overall, it was a fulfilling stay. Had a relaxing time.
