Hôtel Renaissance Asheville Downtown

This hotel is very clean and well kept. The beds, bedding, pillows, and towels are great quality. We had great service from everyone. The only disappointment was that we believed that they had an indoor pool but they do not have a pool anymore. They even reference the pool on the welcome page on the TV. So, the hotel is excellent with beautiful mountain views but there is no pool.

HORRIBLE VERY DATED HOTEL! RUDE STAFF ALONG WITH DIRTY ROOMS! A BAR MENU ALONG WITH A RESTAURANT MENU THAT IS VERY OVER PRICED! I STAYED HERE ONE NIGHT AND IT WAS HORRIBLE! WHILE I WAS ON PROPERTY THIS HOTEL MADE TWO FRAUDULENT PENDING AUTHORIZATIONS ON MY CREDIT CARD! I WAS FURIOUS! THE GIRL WORKING THAT EVENING AT THE FRONT DESK COULDN'T BE BOTHERED ABOUT IT! DIDN'T OFFER TO EVEN FORWARD THE SITUATION TO UPPER MGMT! VERY VERY OVERRATED HOTEL! I GOT THE TWO CHARGES CREDITED BACK TO MY CARD! WHEN I ASKED FOR MGMT THIS MORNIING I WAS TOLD THEY WERE ALL IN A MEETING. I WENT TO MARRIOTT CORPORATE AGAINST THIS HOTEL! THEY MORE THAN COMPENSATED ME FOR MY HORRIBLE STAY!

Good location. Very very disappointed that the pool and hot tub were closed.

Upon check-in, my card was charged hundreds of dollars more than what it should’ve been. I was completely blown away by how lackadaisical and nonchalant everyone was about it; especially the manager. In the most condescending fashion, she proceeded to tell me how to “quickly” contact my bank to fixed. So wait, YOU caused the problem, and now I have to spend MY time correcting it? How does that make sense? So now I have a very expensive charge on my card that will stay for weeks because the front desk was irresponsible. There are other reputable hotels nearby. Stay there instead.

Really enjoyed my stay here for three nights. We had a training, that was held at the hotel, and everything was located on site. Several dining options within a short distance as well as on site if wanted. The room was very clean and comfortable, with no issues for the stay. There is a self Check out area for drinks and other snacks on the first floor if needed. My room was on the 6th floor and offered a pretty nice view of the city. Our training was held on the 12th floor which had a spectacular view! Check in was quick and staff offered up a pretty decent option to get some great pizza. Plenty of parking. Would stay here again.

The room was clean, but faucet leaked. The shower/tub combo is super narrow. The elevators were really slow and made some strange noises.

Good hotel, a little dated but still comfortable with great service and location.
