Hôtel Stoney Creek Kansas City - Independence

We had a celebration for my FNL'S 90th birthday. THE EVENT ROOM WAS GREAT AND THE FOOD WAS OK.

We went down for a Memorial Day game at Kaufman Stadium. We were able to store our gear before the game. Checked in after, seamlessly and really enjoyed it room and stay ! Highly recommend !

My new wife and I stayed here during our road trip to Colorado right after our wedding, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed. Alex was especially helpful when we called ahead to adjust our reservation—and we were so touched to find out she had upgraded our room to help us celebrate our wedding. That kind of thoughtfulness really stood out. The room itself was spotless and beautiful, with an amazing view of the lake and waterfall just behind the property. There’s also a walking trail around the lake, which made for a perfect, relaxing stop on a long drive. As rewards members, we received complimentary drink tokens, and Virginia at the bar was just as warm and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. For a one-night stop on a road trip, we truly couldn’t have been happier. Between the value, amenities, location, and exceptional staff, this stay exceeded all expectations. Highly recommend!

My wife and I travel to Kansas City quite often to visit family, we stayed here once about 2 years ago. Even though there are other hotels closer to our family we won't stay anywhere else. The staff is amazing, the rooms are always clean, the breakfast is good, and we love the location. If you want to have a drink, there is a bar on-site.

Pleasantly surprised to find this gem off I-70 in Independence Loved our last minute stay..

My stay here was nothing extraordinary, and room cleaning prior to arrival is absolutely terrible. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was decent, hence why I’m giving 2 starts. There were multiple pubes in the shower, hair all over the floor in the bathroom and I’m sure elsewhere too, leftover balloon pieces on the floor underneath the AC unit and lamp shade that would be very simple to get with a simple broom if the room was cleaned properly. When I got there the first night there felt to be so much stuff on the floor and then when I got in the shower there was so much black stuff/dust/hair that came from the bottom of my feet. I felt as if I could no longer walk anywhere around the room without shoes on. Then I noticed a bug, I believe was a silverfish, which I don’t feel as if I can place blame on the hotel for this as they are common in high humidity places. The people at the front desk were nice, overall I am very dissatisfied with how my room was cleaned before my arrival. Clean may be a stretch. Clean sheets were placed and that seemed to be about all. More hair found in multiple other places that didn’t have pictures taken and more pubes inside the shower but they went down the drain when showering.

The room was good. There was a group of teenagers in the pool area that were having fun but was reckless with our 3 yr old granddaughter also trying to be in the pool. So not a good time for her.
