Beautiful park in the middle of the city.
The theme right now is Alice in Wonderland. It's magical.
Beautiful park.
Plenty of parking.
Had a great time with friends at Phipps Conservatory!!
Beautiful park, full of shady trails.
Clean park with with beautifully landscaped grounds
A massive park that would take days to fully explore, I got to see both the main area near the botanic garden and a secondary spot near Squirrel Hill. A must see!
I've here there many times and it's a great place for all stroll. Good place to just breathe in the air.
Beautiful on a summer day
Schenley Park is a very nice park to walk around with your dog or grandchildren. There's a large area on top called the Oval where you can run or jog around the track, soccer fields, tennis courts and picnic areas. There are plenty of pavilions nearby. An ice skate rink disc golf cource and playgrounds. A great view of Pittsburgh at sunset. 5 stars and a great place to relax
Great variety of well-matained trails for walking and nice loop for biking. Amazing views of the city from the golf course or disc golf course. Easy to get to by car, bike, or bus.
As someone not from the area, I can say this is very nice park with many different kind of walkways (through the forest for some easy hiking trails and up top on regular pathways). The park has an overlook of the city and makes for a great spot for pictures. For the summer, there are many areas under trees that creates shades. I do want to say that the park could use some more upkeep and benches, as paths can be long and it would be nice if there was somewhere to sit.
Great park for hiking, bird watching etc. Right at the heart of Oakland but usually not very busy. Because of the central location, you can clearly hear cars and city noise regardless of what part of the park you're in, though. A more urban park than Frick, for instance. Visitor Center is nice (has toilets, drinking fountains, cafè...), as well as the little pond/lake down in Panther Hollow. Views of Phipps and the Cathedral of Learning, too.
My wife and I took a one-hour bike ride throughout Schenley Park, enjoying the dirt bike paths that climbed to the top of this green oasis. This park features mixed-use pedestrian and bike paths as well as a grassy area atop the park with public tennis courts, an oval-shaped track, lacrosse and soccer fields, plus a public bathroom at the top of the park. The only negative in visiting Schenley Park is the road noise from an adjacent highway and bridge, but it is worth a visit to exercise and cool off under the green trees that form a canopy in many areas of the path. We even saw several deer. An ideal way to tour this park is via Pittsburgh’s bike or electric bike rental stations starting and ending in Oakland.
A Schenley park is a great park to explore 🏞️. These are photos of the oval consisting of race track, tennis courts and soccer ⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽ fields. A great place to kick off your shoes and put on your flip flops 🩴🩴 for a fun day in the sun
Schenley Park is a very large park not far from Oakland section. The park has everything from Soccer fields and a running track on artificial turf, tennis courts.walking trails.playgroups etc. Well worth a day to relax or walk
Beautiful park! Great for running! I would definitely highly recommend visiting this park. Wonderful view of downtown Pittburgh.
This place is a hidden gem in terms of the choice of hiking trails that make you think you ae in some national park, but, right in the middle of a bustling city. Just wish they had done a better job with signs. Don't go without a GPS to guide you.
