Plage Poodle

Poodle Beach is the stretch of sand at the south end of the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk, past the main family beach, around Queen Street. There are no signs and nothing official about it, but it has been the town's gay beach for decades and is packed on summer weekends. It is a public beach with lifeguards in season, and the usual town beach rules apply, so swimsuits stay on. Parking near the south end is metered and scarce in July and August, so walk or cycle from town if you can. Late afternoon is the social peak, before people head to tea dance and dinner.
