Taifa Club — The Village (Soho)
About the event
TAIFA CLUB on Friday, November 20, 2026 at The Village (Soho) in London.
About the venue
The Village opened on Wardour Street in 1991 and was one of the first café-bar style gay venues in Soho, a format many later bars copied. It is a busy, mostly male, mixed-age bar over more than one level, with music getting louder as the evening goes on…
“Fun bar! The security staff was a bit unwelcoming. Also the bathroom attendant was creepy and unnecessary. I’m able to wash my own hands.” — Mark Ray, Google
“Apart from the very offish service, a double disaronno and coke - £14.50. Unbelievable… when Admiral Duncan and Compton on the same street; other stonegate run bars charge £4 less! No wonder the bar is empty when people are queuing up to get into the others” — Charles Hill, Google
