Where to stay in Eugene: an honest 2026 guide
No hotel or B&B in Eugene markets itself as LGBTQ+, and we don't label any of them gay. The city is easygoing, and same-sex couples shouldn't expect problems at any mainstream property. What matters more is location. Eugene's small queer scene sits in two places: downtown, around Broadway, Olive and Willamette, and the Whiteaker, just northwest of it. The Lavender Network community center is on Willamette Street a little south of downtown. Stay downtown and you can walk to all of it.
Downtown (best base)
- The Gordon Hotel, 555 Oak St: a boutique hotel a few blocks from Broadway.
- Graduate by Hilton Eugene, 66 E 6th Ave: a large downtown hotel, a short walk from both downtown and the Whiteaker.
- The Campbell House Inn, 252 Pearl St: a historic inn at the foot of Skinner Butte.
- 376 Guest House, 376 E 11th Ave: a small guesthouse between downtown and campus.
- Valley River Inn, 1000 Valley River Way: a riverside hotel on the Willamette path, a bike ride from downtown.
- Riverpath Inn, 250 N Adams St: a small inn near the river path on the edge of the Whiteaker.
- Budget motels line West 6th and West 11th avenues (Autzen Inn, Express Inn & Suites, Hampton Inn further out). They're cheaper, but you'll need a bus or car at night.
- Maverick Hotel, 1859 Franklin Blvd: near the University of Oregon, east of downtown.
- Lanzarotta Bed and Breakfast, Hamm Rd: rural, about 10 miles south of downtown.
- Yurtel, Veneta: yurts about 15 miles west, handy for the Oregon Country Fair in July.

When to book early
Prices jump on Eugene Pride weekend (late June, Lane Events Center), on University of Oregon football Saturdays, for big track meets at Hayward Field, and during the Oregon Country Fair weekend in July. Book well ahead for those dates.
