Amazônicas: Poéticas Femininas' — collective exhibition at CCBB

Eighty works by 21 contemporary artists from Pará, Acre, and Amazonas occupy the entire second floor of CCBB RJ in 'Amazônicas: Poéticas Femininas' (Amazonian: Feminine Poetics), an exhibition conceived by the Museu das Mulheres (Women's Museum) with artistic direction and curation by Sissa Aneleh. The opening, in the week celebrating Amazon Day — established in 2007 and celebrated on September 5th —, reinforces the historical prominence of women in the cultural formation of the Amazon region. After passing through Belém, Fortaleza, and Brasília, the exhibition arrives in Rio accompanied by an extension in the metaverse, with an augmented reality experience accessible via 3D glasses. The project was selected by Seleção Petrobras Cultural and is sponsored through the Rouanet Law.
