Spectacular place!

A fantastic location away from the hustle and bustle, beautifully quiet with a stunning view over Rio. Everything is still within walking distance. A taxi is recommended after dark. The rooms are lovely and clean. Breakfast is served in the beautiful garden. The rooftop pool is perfect for relaxing and is an absolute highlight.

I had an incredible experience at the Raro Ipanema Boutique Hotel. This place perfectly captures the essence of Rio—intimate, elegant, and full of personality. The location is unbeatable, just steps from Ipanema Beach, yet secluded enough to provide tranquility and privacy. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel very welcome and cared for, offering attentive and personalized service throughout my stay. The rooms are beautifully designed—modern, clean, and comfortable, with thoughtful details that elevate the experience. Everything feels intentional, from the décor to the ambiance. One of my favorite parts was the relaxing and sophisticated atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the city. What truly sets this hotel apart is the balance between boutique charm and high-quality service. It feels like a hidden gem in one of Rio's most iconic neighborhoods. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a unique and memorable stay.

I loved Everything in that hotel. One thing I would recommend to adapt is to swap out the plastic cups at the bar.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff very friendly, the breakfast lovely, and the hotel's architecture is among the most beautiful I've seen. Just one thing to keep in mind: you have to walk a block along a street that seems quite unsafe, especially for foreigners. And the favela is behind it, although we didn't have any problems with that; in fact, Uber picked us up at 4 a.m. to take us back to Argentina. Perhaps it's not a place to walk around alone.

Lovely hotel, very well thought out decor and welcoming attentive staff. Stunning views from the rooftop pool with nice cocktails. The room had everything we needed and felt really safe, it isn’t inside the favela but town next to it. Walking distance to beaches, we extended our stay here it was a little piece of home from home especially with the decor. Only thing is lots of steps to accommodations but apart from this it is one of the nicer places we have stayed in Rio, staff helped with luggage’s on the stairs

L'Homme de Rio, now called the Raro Ipanema Boutique Hotel. We booked the "Deluxe Suite with a large balcony and fantastic views of the sea and Sugarloaf Mountain." The room was spacious and tastefully decorated. It's a wonderfully peaceful spot with lush greenery and close to Ipanema Beach. The rooftop terrace with its swimming pool, lovely bar, and seating area was truly unique thanks to the stunning view. The owner and staff were very hospitable and helpful. I would love to return to this special place.

We had a wonderful stay at the Raro Ipanema Boutique Hotel, formerly known as L’Homme Rio. I stayed in the deluxe suite with a sea view, which I highly recommend. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We received assistance with our luggage, a very friendly check-in, and were given water because it was hot. The room was prepared immediately, even though we arrived far too early. The suite was very spacious and included a balcony with a stunning view of Rio, the sea, and Sugarloaf Mountain. The very hospitable owner, Robert, had left a bottle of wine in a wine cooler for us with a sweet note. The tasteful room met all our expectations. The bed was wonderful. The large balcony doors could be opened at night, allowing for plenty of fresh air. And then there was the rooftop terrace: it exceeded all expectations. An even more beautiful view of various sides of Rio, a lovely pool, beautiful plants, and a wonderful bar where you can order any drink you like. The owner and his staff are very helpful, hospitable, and attentive. Breakfast was delicious: fresh coffee, fresh fruit, various bread rolls with toaster, and a choice of eggs. The breakfast terrace was beautiful! I'd love to come back, thanks Robert!
