About this place Hotel Fasano Rio de Janeiro

Hotel Fasano on Avenida Vieira Souto faces Ipanema beach and sits a short walk from the Posto 9 rainbow‑flag zone. It isn’t a gay hotel, but its proximity to Posto 9 makes it a convenient spot for queer guests. The walk along the sand takes a few minutes, and the beach’s rainbow flags are a familiar sight. Philippe Starck’s interiors give the rooms a sleek, modern feel, while the rooftop pool offers a clear view of the beach and the Dois Irmãos peaks beyond. The hotel is one of Rio’s priciest, and the rooftop bar pulls in locals and tourists alike at sunset. If you’re planning to stay during Carnival or Rio Pride, book an ocean‑view room early—prices climb sharply.
