It was my WORST experience. For the price, the room is reasonable, but nothing justifies the lack of cleanliness. The towels, besides being dirty, are extra, and they charge a fee of R$ 20.00 if you want another one. They didn't clean my room even though I left a sign. I ASKED FOR A MOP AND A FLOOR CLOTH SO I COULD CLEAN IT MYSELF!!! I couldn't take it anymore. At breakfast, they managed to prepare raw couscous. Several negative reviews here and the company takes no action. Complaining is useless. The best advertising is word of mouth.
Terrible experience; it's a very poor quality place. The sink faucets were loose, half the mirror was blackened, there was only one chair, and that was it—it looked like a dive. I went to a much better place, and even though I had prepaid for this hotel through Falabella Travel, they refused to refund my money. I filed a complaint with SERNAC (Chilean Consumer Protection Agency); the photos don't reflect reality.
The reception service was exceptional, it has a good location, but the building's structure is terrible, the rooms are poorly maintained and look dirty, the door jams, there's a lot of noise from the kitchen as I stayed on the fourth floor, no thick blanket, I didn't have a good experience at this hotel. Oh, and the breakfast was the worst of my entire trip, even the fruit was sour, not to mention the hard bread, the pudding that only tastes like egg, tasteless cakes, etc. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
I NEVER review any place I go, but I insist on reviewing this hotel. I booked this hotel for a week, and I booked with a lot of apprehension because the reviews were terrible, but the cost-benefit ratio and location made me want to take a chance, and I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Starting with the reception, the staff were very friendly, polite, and helpful. The fact that there was a microwave to heat things up and that there was always fresh cake with coffee and tea in the reception area for guests was such a sweet touch. Arriving at the room, it was super clean, smelled nice, and the air conditioning was on to keep it cool. At reception, I asked to be put in a room facing the sea, but unfortunately, they didn't have any more available. However, they put me in a side room, and the view is so beautiful that even a side room was worth it. (I'll leave photos below) Regarding the cleanliness, the girls are lovely, they cleaned my room every day, changed towels every two days, the bathroom was always spotless, it was a pleasure to return to the hotel after a day of sightseeing and find everything spotless. But what won my heart the most was the breakfast, super diverse, fresh, delicious food with a very homemade taste, and I couldn't fail to mention the girls in the kitchen who are lovely, always warming up my cheese or filling my water bottle, but I would like to give a special shout-out to the jam lady, Carla ❤️ always treating me with so much affection, where I could feel at home. And I've never seen a breakfast with such a beautiful view as this hotel. They have a terrace that's great for taking beautiful photos. It's a shame it closes after breakfast. Honestly, I don't know why there are so many bad reviews, the hotel is excellent for the price, it's not luxurious at all, but it's comfortable and clean, I think that's the most important thing. But I'll also leave some points (that in my opinion) could be greatly improved: Outlet next to the bed. As a good traveler, I brought an extension cord, so it was fine. For those who don't bring one, you can only charge it in the bathroom. The bathroom mirror could either be larger, like the one in the reception bathroom, or have a full-length mirror in the room. We women suffer with this, but I always managed to find a way and go see myself in the elevator, haha. Otherwise, that's all. The location is PERFECT. I did a lot on foot, but Uber was very cheap for many things. It's close to Barra Shopping, Rio Vermelho, and incredible for going out at night. There are açaí places, restaurants, a mini-market, a pharmacy, everything nearby. I hope to return to Salvador soon and stay at the Rede Andrade Ondina again ❤️
1- The hotel is very well located right on the beach, clean, with well-organized and clean rooms (plus linens changed every two days). 2- The breakfast is wonderful, the cooks are friendly and polite, and there's a variety of breakfast options. 3- The room was very clean, and the bathroom was tidy. (A tip for those who like to have their cell phone near the bed is to bring an extension cord.) 4- Regarding the location, it's between Rio Vermelho and Barra, and it's only 5 minutes from the Salvador Zoo (it's so close you can walk there too). You can also walk to Rio Vermelho if you want to enjoy the view of the coastline and the Rio Vermelho neighborhood. I would also like to compliment the cook, Carla, who was lovely and made the stay even more pleasant. I hope to return and see her again.
