Hotel Jardin Atacama

We - a family of four - stayed at the Jardin Atacama for 6 nights. We loved it here. Great location, an excellent freshly made breakfast every morning, gorgeous little courtyard with a water feature which was so relaxing to sit by, a lovely pool area. The staff were so friendly too, we just really enjoyed our stay here. This is not a city hotel nor is it trying to be, that's why you go to places like San Pedro. I should say too, the WiFi worked very well for us, we didn't have any problem with it. We thought our stay here was a little oasis away from the heat and the crowds. Highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel with amazing service and breakfast

Hotel is in great location 5 min walk from the main square. Rooms are clean though our was very small so we could hardly move around. Nevertheless we only slept there being all day out on excursions. Breakfast is freshly prepared and when going on early tours they provide lunch boxes. Small garden is very pleasant to sit and spend some time resting. There's a pool, very small and cold. During 3 days I saw no one using it

Good location, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast. Unfortunately, it was a bit noisy until late at night due to live music from nearby bars.

A spectacular hotel, an oasis in the middle of the desert! I stayed here for 4 nights and would do it again. The staff were very kind, always available to help, and captivatingly friendly. The rooms are good, comfortable without being overly luxurious. The breakfast was exceptional. Everything was very clean, and coffee, tea, and water were always available for guests to refill their bottles.

The room was just a piece too small...

Really nice staff, great breakfast, clean rooms. I can't leave 5 stars because of the Wi-Fi, it doesn't work reliably to work, it breaks every 10-15 min which makes it impossible to be on calls. I'm not sure how they call themselves a cowork, because it's impossible to actually work there (main reason why I stayed there in the first place). Other than the terrible internet, everything else is great.

Asked for a simple price and the receptionist is so lazy and said “go to website” what horrible service

I stayed here 4 nights in December 2025. I wanted to leave a review because I was heavily influenced by all of the positive reviews. However, they do not reflect my experience. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this hotel due to three fatal flaws described in detail below. I also felt it was a bit overpriced for what I got. The Bad 1. The problems began immediately when I reached reception. The daytime receptionist (man with beard and one large earring) asked if i spoke Spanish, and I said I do not. He acted annoyed and said he couldn't speak English, so we would hve to use a translator app. Not a big deal for me because I'm used to it, but apparently it was a big issue for him. His attitude during check-in was very unfriendly and unwelcoming. The Wi-Fi was not working during check-in, and I informed him that I would need to have reliable Internet during my stay because I'm coordinating many logistics. He acted unconcerned and just said that we are in the desert. Um okay... Are you going to check on it? No, apparently not. He told me my room was not ready yet but I could use the hotel's amenities until then. ...What amenities? Where are they? He did not provide any details. When I returned later in the day to get my room, he just pointed and told me it's that way. No offer to help me to my room since I had a lot of stuff. I thought maybe he was just having a bad day, but every encounter I had with him during my stay was like this. Rude and unhelpful. A couple of days later the internet still was not working well, so I asked him where I could go for guest Wi-Fi. He told me there is nowhere in San Pedro that has this. I knew then that was not true, and I later confirmed through exploration that there are many places that have free guest Wi-Fi, including two restaurants within 200 meters of the hotel. I travel frequently for work and have stayed in hotels all over the world, but I cannot recall a time when the customer service was worse than this. 2. The Internet is a major issue. It did not work properly during my stay, which made coordinating communications difficult. The internet would work for about 1 minute every 10-15 minutes, but it was offline the rest of the time. 3. There is no air conditioning in any of the rooms. It gets hot here, and so do the rooms. The only way to regulate the temperature is to open the door or window, but then the room gets full of flies (there are flies everywhere in town). I had trouble sleeping at night because the room was too warm. The Good Other than the one man I mentioned, the rest of the staff is great. The ladies in the kitchen especially. They were always friendly and welcoming. The cleaning ladies were also nice and do a great job keeping the hotel and rooms clean. Roberto, the evening receptionist, was great, friendly, and helpful. The hotel location is very convenient, being right in the middle of town and near the main plaza. The garden area and common room were really nice.
