⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful stay at the Awaditas in San Pedro de Atacama and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. We received a warm welcome from Raquel upon arrival, and everything ran absolutely smoothly from the very beginning. The entire hotel is very well-maintained and impresses with its unique style and thoughtful design. The food and drinks were excellent and perfectly complemented the hotel's concept and ambiance. We are already familiar with this hotel chain from Mexico and were once again completely impressed in Chile. We will especially remember the lovely evenings in the restaurant and the truly outstanding food. A big thank you also goes to the entire service team. The service from the waiters and waitresses was always attentive, warm, and professional. Thank you for this exceptional stay – we would love to return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Pedro de Atacama.
I stayed at the hotel for 3 days in February this year. The hotel has a natural theme and has a swimming pool, spa, and health center. Every staff member is very enthusiastic and friendly. The breakfast is plentiful with à la carte options, and there are also free activities to participate in. I got a one-on-one yoga class. I met new friends Oscar and Luna on this trip. Unfortunately, the room we chose was 8 pings (approximately 3.3 square meters), which was too small and had limited storage space. The bathroom was large, but there was no bathtub. It is only a 10-minute walk from the city center and has good functionality. Unfortunately, we encountered rare thunderstorms during the trip, and there were power outages and internet outages. Overall, however, it did not diminish our good impression of the hotel.
Hotel rated 10/10 Many experiences included Great rooms Excellent common areas Excellent service Very good food Well worth it
We feel cheated. I don't like leaving these kinds of reviews, but it's my duty as a tourism professional to warn tourists about the poor practices of this hotel. In my more than 15 years of experience in the industry, working with large chains and small hotels, this is the first time I've seen them deny a date change for perfectly justified medical reasons, especially since the traveler in question is pregnant. It goes without saying that with these inhumane policies and a lack of ethical values, I wouldn't offer this accommodation to any of my guests.
Let's start with the positives. The design of the hotel is lovely. The reception, restaurant, shared spaces and rooms are very nice. The breakfast buffet and restaurant serves nice food. The drawbacks of the hotel is that the rooms are extremely dark, cold even when you crank the heating up to the max and don't really have any space or shelves for luggage so you end with bags crowding your room. The worst bit though is probably the slow staff. They are very nice and polite but when asked for anything it takes ages to get anything resolved. We asked for housekeeping as after an excursion we came back to our room and the minifridge was open and drinks were cracked on the floor - took 40mins to resolve. Anothertime we sat at the fireplace and asked for extra wood - ended up going back to our room after 30mins beacuse the fire died out. It might sound like a first world problem but at this price point you expect more.
We spent five nights at Our Habitas Atacama at the start of May 2026. I am familiar with the Our Habitas brand and have worked in the hotel industry myself for the most part of 20 years, did thorough research prior to booking and am glad we went ahead with booking this property despite some of the reviews on here. We experienced no service issues whatsoever, in fact everyone we interacted with was lovely and genuine and we were often greeted by name throughout our stay. Breakfast was more than adequate, we enjoyed some lovely lunches and dinners at the restaurant also. The rooms are good and yes, there is a little bit of wear and tear but this really didn't impact our stay - we spent most days out on exercusions and this isn't really the type of destination where you'd spent a huge time inside the room. For us the location was ideal, just outside the town centre of San Pedro de Atacama and therefore very quiet which is what we look for in a hotel stay. The walk is short, it took us all of 10 minutes to reach the centre (if that) and yes it is a dusty road but this is the desert and aside from one or two paved roads, this is most of San Pedro de Atacama. At no point did we feel unsafe walking back in the evening either. Overall, we had a really great stay here and would love to return at some point.
I had a good experience, but it had its ups and downs: Positive: excellent service, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, always fresh and of good quality. The common pool and fire pit area is quite inviting and comfortable, although the water temperature is very cold even on hot days; I only saw one person enter and leave quickly in the 4 days I stayed, so nobody uses it. Negative: the rooms and bathroom are quite basic for a hotel in this price range. There is a lack of space to store luggage and hangers. The mini-bar is small and full of mediocre products at exorbitant prices. The shower drain was partially clogged and the water level rose during showers. The distance to the main street favors silence, but it is detrimental to those with mobility restrictions; it's a 10-15 minute walk on a deserted and dark street, although I didn't feel unsafe on the way.
