About this place Hotel Foresta

Hotel Foresta is a small mainstream hotel on Victoria Subercaseaux, opposite Cerro Santa Lucía in central Santiago. It is gay-friendly rather than a gay hotel. The building is older and the hotel leans on its location, with a guest rating around 4.2 on Google. The position is the main reason to choose it: Barrio Lastarria, with its cafés, bookshops and bars, is right behind the hotel, the Bellas Artes museum is a short walk away, and Bellavista, home to most of Santiago's gay bars and clubs, is across the Mapocho river within about 15 minutes on foot. Santa Lucía metro station on Line 1 is nearby. Ask for a room away from the avenue if traffic noise bothers you.

Very cozy and pleasant, in a quiet but touristy neighborhood. And the food was delicious.

It's like the Argentine San Telmo, immersed in a cultural zone, full of art, design, cosmopolitan tourism, bars and restaurants (Casa de la Moneda and Santiago Cathedral 6 blocks away - area with currency exchange offices) - (Museum of Fine Arts 2 blocks away)

Excellent service from the hosts. Luis, our host, was incredibly kind and attentive. He was a true gem.
