Maki Hostel Valparaiso

A place that offers a variety of rooms at different price points. The reception staff were very friendly.

Excellent location. We stayed in a private room, which was quite spacious. The bathroom was a good size with good water pressure. However, there were some issues with the presentation; the bedspread had holes and some stains. The reception staff never told us that room cleaning had to be requested, so it wasn't done (we were only there briefly). We went in and out at least 10 times, and only one staff member greeted us; the others didn't even look at us.

Very good, just needs improvement in the cleaning aspect, otherwise perfect.

A wonderful place if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Santiago. A highly recommended experience; each space has its own unique atmosphere, and the camaraderie with other travelers makes it a lovely adventure. 100% recommended.

I had a private room with a private bathroom and it was a very stylish little hotel room it was perfectly located and the staff was very very friendly and helpful and I would absolutely go there again

The kitchen and terrace close at midnight. There's very little light and air in the common areas; it feels very enclosed. The cleaning staff is excellent, and the reception staff are the best, except for the manager, Jules. I had a bad experience with the volunteer program; they kicked me out overnight without warning. They said you could stay for a month, but after three weeks they kicked you out. They need someone more empathetic in these positions. Otherwise, it's one of the best places in Valparaíso. The shared rooms are very private, with curtains for each bed.

I liked the atmosphere and decor of the place; it was quite spacious and very quiet. As a side note, it would be nice if the bathroom were inside the room 😸👍🏻.

I really like Maki; great location, comfortable and well-equipped rooms, and excellent shared and relaxation areas. Both terraces are lovely. Be sure to read the description carefully when booking through Booking.com. I would suggest improving the service a bit; I understand that guests might be tired and fed up, but it's a hassle.

My experience at Maki Hostel was great! We ordered a champagne for our room and shared it with my partner on the balcony overlooking the street, which we loved! And its location allowed us to walk everywhere—10 out of 10

I went and there's no parking and watch out for spiders 😱😱
