Rio Sagrado, A Belmond Hotel, Sacred Valley

Exceptional location and the restaurant is delicious. Ideal for a family outing and enjoying a beautiful day by the river.

This is another incredible Belmond property! I only wish we had stayed there longer. Our train from Machu Picchu was delayed, so we didn’t really get settled until 10:30 pm and were exhausted by then and just went to bed. So we only had a couple hours before we had to check out to experience this awesome hotel. From the short time we were there, we were very impressed with the spacious and well-appointed rooms with, the lovely breakfast overlooking the peaceful view of the river, and the kind and attentive staff. We also loved seeing the baby alpacas being fed! This is a hotel we would definitely return to if ever in the Sacred Valley again. It would be great to spend 2-3 nights here and just soak in the relaxing atmosphere.

A blooming paradise by the river – we felt truly loved Rio Sagrado is more than a beautiful hotel – it’s a place where you feel genuinely cared for. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. Our suitcases were already waiting in the room, and together with them we found a handmade envelope with artisan luggage tags bearing our names – such a thoughtful, personal touch. We fed the alpacas, enjoyed delicious local breakfasts and dinners, relaxed in the spa, and simply soaked in the peaceful beauty of the Sacred Valley. The team made us feel like the most welcome guests in the world. We left with our hearts full and already dream of returning. Thank you for an unforgettable stay.

Our stay at Rio Sagrado was very special. The hotel is beautiful, with lots of flowers and amazing views all around. The staff were fantastic. They went as far as making us reservations at highly thought after, hard to get in restaurants in Cusco. We enjoyed feeding the baby alpacas every morning—it was such a fun and unique experience. The heated pool and Spa were perfect. Dinner and breakfast each day were delicious and something we will remember. Our experience at he Rio Sagrado is memorable. We highly recommend this amazing experience.

We stayed at this magical hotel for three days. The place, the staff, the food, and the care they gave us were beyond exceptional. Many thanks to the entire team, and especially to the General Manager, Javier Carlavilla, for making our stay one of the best of our lives!
