Beautiful iconic hotel. Fantastic location in the heart of old Québec. Was disappointed in the service and availability of the lobby bar. Its hours were not conducive. At 4pm I was forced to go off site for my meeting. I wanted to stay at hotel but it was too painful to get seated, let alone be served.

What a total and complete disappointment. Am staying at the hotel currently and i’m literally speechless at the mediocrity of the place. It’s a bit like a hotel at Disney or mid level Las Vegas hotel. Arrive to be met by hordes of people fresh off buses, check in line out the door Very small room but even smaller bathroom…. Jaw droppingly small and mediocre room. Totally unacceptable in 2026, would get better in Tokyo! All public spaces overcrowded like at a theme park. Hideous Attempt to get a drink in the bar, there are huge lines, must join a waiting list. Zero preference for hotel guests. Service of the most basic and indifferent level. Shockingly bad Overall, the place is truly abysmal, a complete and total rip off and the reviews are a complete fiction compared to the reality. 2/10 is pretty generous Never ever again!!!!! Avoid like Ebola. (Forget to mention the cleanliness of room, had added photos that show the situation)

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. We chose this hotel to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday and I went out of my way to arrange a special surprise. I ordered a birthday cake in advance and clearly instructed the hotel to deliver it on her birthday. Instead, they delivered it to our room a day early, completely ruining the surprise and the entire purpose of planning ahead. To make matters worse, when I requested that the cake be delivered on her actual birthday at approximately 2:30 PM, the hotel failed yet again. Despite multiple calls to the service desk, it took another hour and a half before anything happened. For a property that promotes itself as providing exceptional guest experiences, this level of incompetence and lack of attention to detail is extremely disappointing. What should have been a memorable milestone celebration turned into a frustrating experience because the staff could not follow a simple, clearly communicated request. The most disappointing part is that these were not last-minute arrangements—they were planned in advance and still mishandled. When guests trust a hotel with a once-in-a-lifetime occasion, they expect better. Unfortunately, the service we received fell far below expectations.
