Finally I got a relaxing time. Awesome 💫 My stay gave us a reeellyy good experience, break the routine and celebrate a special day! The room was nice and the kitchen was clean and ready to cook snacks. The bathroom was clean and all the amenities were perfect!

2 stars—and that’s being generous, purely because Amanda is lovely. The listing throws around “luxury accommodation” like confetti, which is exactly why we booked. Reality? Not even close. Highly suggest you take all 5 star ratings with a large iceberg sized grain of salt and learn from our mistake. You’re hit with interesting rules after check-in—5-minute showers and a charming “don’t flush toilet paper, put it in the garbage” situation. Nothing kills the ‘luxury’ vibe faster than a bathroom garbage can for your used toilet paper. Soundproofing doesn’t exist. If you’re in a lower room, enjoy the full experience of what sounds like a herd of rhinos living above you. Cooking? Technically possible, if you enjoy setting off the smoke detector just by toasting a bagel. The hot tub feels like a chemical experiment gone wrong—strong enough that we were uncomfortable for days after. Not exactly the relaxing spa vibe advertised. And the bugs—yes, harmless wood lice —but again, in what world does “luxury” include bugs crawling around your room en masse? Overall, this place massively overpromises and underdelivers. Nice host, but that doesn’t make up for everything else. Would not return and absolutely would not recommend.65$ cleaning fee but when we showed up no towels and live bugs + bug corpses everywhere.

Photos on the website don't match the real picture. We had the Blue Whale Suite, the highest priced one, and were disappointed by no sink and basically no kitchen at all. Everything looks cheap and limited, the toilet was clogged. It says on the website 2 restaurants are open nearby but they're actually closed lol. Feels like you're camping with whatever you bring — that's what you have for almost $500

We stayed in the top/most expensive suite and unfortunately the experience didn’t match the price point. The biggest issue was that the toilet in the suite did not flush properly and was never fully resolved during our stay. This made it very inconvenient to use, and we had to leave the suite and walk to another unit in the cold to access a proper bathroom. While the host did respond and provided access to another suite’s bathroom, we had to request for some compensation ourselves before partial refund was provided. There were also several other shortcomings, only two towels were provided, there were no extra garbage bags or basic cleaning supplies, and the suite had no kitchen sink, and the bathroom sink was so small we had no where to was dishes. It was also surprising that the smaller suite we were directed to had more practical amenities (like a sink and toaster oven), despite the higher price of the main suite. Additionally, the policies link provided did not work, which made it harder to understand expectations for the stay. We also arrived during a snowstorm and the driveway had not been plowed, and in the morning it was very difficult to get out, which was frustrating and concerning from a safety standpoint. Communication also felt a bit disconnected at times, we received automated messages asking if everything was perfect and requesting a review, despite the issues mentioned earlier we had raised during our stay. Overall, while a partial refund was eventually given, the experience didn’t align with the $500 cost. The concept and location are nice, but there are several important details that need to be addressed to meet expectations at this price point.

We had the most amazing time at the whale house. The owners done absolutely everything they could to make our stay unbelievable and went above and beyond! We would recommend whale house to anyone and everyone as they really do go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. We can’t wait to go back!
