Victoria's Mansion Guest House

The positives are the central location and the staff who is very nice. But my so called "Deluxe room" was anything but. It was tiny and located in the attic with the roof creating low headrooms over the bed and in the bathtub/shower. You can hit your head on both even if you are not very tall. A spare bed was stored inside the room making it even smaller and preventing access to part of the tiny closet. There was a mouse trap in the corner of the room. There was only one folding chair to sit on. The frig was very noisy. There is no sound insulation between rooms or floors so you hear every sound. There was no vanity in the bathroom, No bottle of water, no shampoo even though they like to call the soap dispenser in the shower "soap and shampoo". There was no second lock on the room door, a real issue for a single female traveler. There was a broken chain hanging on the door but nothing to lock it to. It's a block away from a nasty part of Yonge st. full of garbage and shuttered stores. Overall it was a depressing place to stay. I will not go back.

I have stayed at the guest house on two occassions and had a fine experience both times. The rooms are basic and small, but always clean, and for the price, this is a great deal. The service has always been helpful and friendly and the location is fantastic. A short walk to transportation, shops and dining. I can easily recommend this place if you don't need fancy extras and services!

This was a little interesting place for an overnight stay in Toronto. It was nice and close to the Hertzig clinic which I needed to be close to for some eye treatment and a morning follow-up. Easy to walk to, lots of shops around there, places to eat and I had a place to park my vehicle

Hello, for my part it was a good rental. The people at the hotel were really accommodating and friendly. They helped me when I struggled. I needed a taxi and I couldn't order one so they made it for me the next day the taxi was there. When I arrived they also waited for me. The rooms are cute and have microwaves... it's good if you want something affordable just to sleep. I traveled there solo if I had to do it again I could very well go back. It's not far from Dunda Square about 40 minutes walk Sorry for the spelling. There is the metro...

It's a strange, small, oddly shaped hotel Lots of character. Great place to stay. Parking is limited so make sure to book ahead of time. Clean rooms. Stayed three times now and never been disappointed, and you won't either unless you have wildly unrealistic expectations.

Well suited for a city trip.

Have stayed there multiple times and, for the price and location, it's a great value and super charming spot. Everyone I've interacted with either on the property or through customer service has been really helpful and friendly.

Small room and tiny bathroom, lively area, some nice restaurants.

The sprinklers on the front lawn frequently wet the entire public sidewalk including anyone walking on it.
